Uses / Stack
The stack, as used — not as aspired to.
Everything here is in actual service behind this site or the products it documents. When a tool stops earning its place, it comes off the list.
Geospatial
- ESRI stack and ArcGIS Pro — the daily mapping workhorses.
- Web mapping, GIS data collection, and operational dashboards.
- Raster and vector data preparation. Receipt: nearly two decades of it, on the resume.
Languages and web
- Python — security automation and glue work. Receipt: verified Google course, "Automate Cybersecurity Tasks with Python."
- Linux and SQL — daily drivers. Receipt: verified "Tools of the Trade: Linux and SQL."
- HTML and CSS — this site is hand-built static with a dependency-free build script. View source.
- React and Astro where products need them; plain static where they don't.
- Java — coursework depth, still building.
Platforms and infrastructure
- Cloudflare Pages — this site and the public product surfaces deploy on it.
- Cloudflare Access in front of internal dashboards on self-managed infrastructure — private by design, with the public site as the only public surface.
- TryHackMe and Coursera for security reps — certificates land on the credential board, not in a drawer.
Operating habits
- Weekly operator briefs that decide what gets funded with time — documented on Quantum.
- A project register with statuses: active, paused, preserved, frozen. The register outranks enthusiasm.
- Fact-sync at build time: public counts are checked against product surfaces, and a stale number fails the build.
- Repo security audits — full-history secret scanning, dependency triage, branch protection.
- Status labels before adjectives. QA before claims.
