ASV Labs Money Coach

Money Coach is a personal finance beta from A Salty Vet / ASV Labs. It is designed to help users track bills, imports, recurring charges, paychecks, and cash timing. Money Coach is not tax, legal, investment, or individualized financial advice.
Data We Handle
Money Coach may handle bills, bill due dates, payment methods, paychecks, categories, transaction rows, merchant names, merchant aliases, recurring-bill candidates, notes, app settings, reminder preferences, and statement files you choose to upload.
If cloud account features are enabled, Money Coach may also handle account identity information such as your email address through the authentication provider.
How It Is Used
The data is used to show bills, forecast money until payday, review imported statement rows, remember merchant corrections, detect likely recurring bills, schedule local reminders, export your data, and delete app data when requested.
Money Coach does not sell personal or sensitive user data.
Statement Imports
Statement import is designed to use deterministic CSV parsing first, then PDF text extraction, then OCR/document extraction for scanned statements or images. OpenAI or another AI model is not the primary parser; AI cleanup may be used later for merchant normalization, category suggestions, recurring likelihood, and review notes after extraction.
Uploaded raw statement files are intended to be private, user-scoped, and temporary. The beta backend design includes a raw-file deletion deadline and cleanup function, but production deployment must be verified before users upload real financial statements.
Storage And Security
The current beta can operate locally on the device. Optional cloud sync uses Supabase Auth, database rows protected by row-level security, and private storage for statement files when configured.
Service-role keys, OCR provider keys, OpenAI keys, Plaid secrets, upload keystores, and signing passwords must stay server-side or in approved secret stores. They do not belong in the Expo app config, APK, public site, or client storage.
Retention
Local beta data remains on your device until you export it, reset it, or delete the app. Cloud app data, when enabled, is retained only as needed to provide the Money Coach features or meet legitimate security, fraud-prevention, support, or legal obligations.
Raw statement files should be deleted after processing or after their configured cleanup deadline.
Your Controls
Money Coach includes local export, cloud export, cloud app-data deletion, and local reset controls in the Account area. You can also request account or app-data deletion from the public deletion page.
